Job Summary
Provide clear, timely technical guidance and solutions, interpret standards, and develop compliance paths for new technologies while resolving technical disputes among stakeholders. Maintain SME knowledge by engaging in industry committees, networking with experts, and sharing insights to support business needs. Assist with complex projects, mentor staff, and act as a technical expert in legal investigations related to product incidents. Establish technical benchmarks, ensure global consistency in standards, deliver training, and support audits and gap analysis. Ensure expertise in safety practices, identify hazards during site visits, and support emergency response procedures. Participate in standards development, communicate new requirements, and build a strong industry network to promote CSA Group's interests and contribute to business growth.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant discipline of engineering
- Professional registration
- Proven analytical skills
- Technical experience in interpretation of technical requirements within the assigned area of responsibility
- Experience in standards development activities
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in the Electrical appliances area
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral)
