Job Summary
Provide clear, timely technical guidance and solutions by interpreting standards, developing compliance paths for new technologies, and resolving disputes among stakeholders. Maintain SME knowledge through engagement in industry committees, networking with experts, and sharing insights to support business needs. Build a strong industry network by contributing thought leadership via research and presentations while identifying opportunities to advance CSA's interests. Assist with complex projects, mentor staff, and act as a technical expert in legal investigations related to product incidents. Establish technical benchmarks, ensure global consistency in standards, and deliver training and coaching to foster open technical discussions. Support standards research, maintain company accreditations, and contribute to strategic initiatives including safety practices and hazard identification during site visits. Requires 10 years of experience in electrical appliances, global travel, and full-time regular hours.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant discipline of engineering
- Professional registration
- Proven analytical skills
- Technical experience in interpretation of technical requirements within the assigned area of responsibility
- Experience in standards development activities
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in the Electrical appliances area
