Job Summary
Principal Teacher in Science sought to contribute to the senior leadership team, supporting strategic school improvement, curriculum leadership, and collaboration with stakeholders to improve outcomes for learners. Must hold GTCS registration (primary or secondary as appropriate) and obtain PVG membership. Role requires leading change, promoting curriculum development and pedagogy improvements, fostering equity and inclusion, and modelling professional standards. The position is a temporary appointment (35 hours/week) at Woodmill High School, Dunfermline, with duties aligned to supporting the senior leadership team and driving positive change across the learning community. Applicants must provide a Supporting Statement detailing experience in equity, collaboration, school improvement, and leadership of change; and demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional learning.
Required Qualifications
- Full GTCS registration (primary or secondary as applicable)
- GTCS registration to teach specific subjects
- PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland prior to appointment
- Proven leadership and experience in school improvement
- Commitment to GTCS Professional Standards and professional learning
