Job Summary
Strategic, relationship-driven senior talent partner focused on growing Nicola Wealth's national Private Wealth business by leading the acquisition of top-tier wealth management talent across advisory and client-facing roles. Acts as a trusted advisor to leadership on talent market trends, strategy, and succession planning; shapes hiring strategy, develops proactive sourcing and market engagement plans, and ensures a high-touch candidate and stakeholder experience. Responsibilities include partnering with senior leaders to forecast workforce needs, building sustainable talent pipelines (wealth advisors, portfolio managers, wealth planning associates, and other senior roles), conducting sophisticated assessments, and maintaining strong networks within the Canadian wealth management community. The role emphasizes strategic talent partnership, market intelligence, executive stakeholder influence, and brand ambassador activities to position Nicola Wealth as an employer of choice within the Canadian wealth management market.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including significant expertise recruiting within private wealth management, investment management, private banking, or financial advisory environments
- Proven success recruiting experienced Wealth Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Wealth Planning Associates, or other senior client-facing financial professionals
- Deep understanding of the Canadian wealth management landscape and advisor recruitment dynamics
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders
- Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and consultative communication skills
- Demonstrated success engaging and attracting passive talent within highly competitive markets
- Strong business acumen and ability to align talent strategy with organizational growth objectives
- Highly proactive, entrepreneurial, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience operating in a high-touch, relationship-oriented recruitment environment
