Job Summary
Principal Systems Engineer responsible for designing, developing and documenting aerospace and cybersecurity solutions for ATM-related domains. Lead technical reviews and participate in PI planning, backlog refinement and requirement traceability using DOORS. Define solutions balancing requirements, cost, schedule and risk; ensure safety, human factors, performance and security constraints are integrated. Support squads (software, integration and verification), assist the Product Owner and Scrum Master, and provide technical oversight to ensure design conformance with schedules and budgets. Promote knowledge sharing and KPI reporting, and contribute to program integration activities. Requires 7+ years in Systems Engineering, ATM domain experience, and proficiency with ISO/IEC15288, SAFe/Agile methodologies, and tools such as DOORS, Capella, Jira, and Enterprise Architect. Strong communication skills in English and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline
- Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (Desirable)
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering (7+ years)
- Essential Experience Air Traffic Management in one or more functional areas: Coordination Surveillance Adaptation/Configuration Interpartition/SWIM Profile HMI Tower Simulation and Training Safety Nets/Conflict Detection AMAN/DMAN
- Proven experience in the ATM Domain and related standards eg. ICAO, Eurocontrol
- Proven experience in the development of products and projects in a variety of methodologies, with a particular focus on iterative/agile development
- Proven experience working in an Agile framework
- Experience with Safety, Security and Human Factors standards and practices
- Demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multidiscipline, multi-culture environment
- Coaching and sharing of his/her know-how
- Capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives
- A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Desirable: Experience in System Engineering tools eg. DOORs, Polarian, Jira
- Desirable: Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and tools eg. Capella, Enterprise Architect
- Desirable: Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
