Job Summary
Principal Systems Engineer Specialist serving as the principal technical overlay authority for SASE, SSE, and Zero Trust architectures within the federal sales organization. Architect and validate large-scale SASE/SSE solutions (ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS) aligned with NIST SP 800-207, EO 14028, and OMB M-22-09; assist with RMF/ATO and STIG compliance; lead high-level technical discovery and architectural workshops; design product demonstrations and proofs-of-concept; contribute to complex federal pursuits through RFI/RFP responses; guide telemetry integrations with SIEM/SOAR/XDR platforms; mentor mid-level and junior systems engineers; maintain operational autonomy across accounts and regions with mission-critical flexibility. Skills include advanced architectural expertise in cloud/hybrid environments, strong ICAM/SAML/OAuth capabilities, and cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/Azure/GCP); exceptional technical writing and presentation abilities; and a track record of supporting DoD/Federal or highly regulated environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or technical leadership within cybersecurity or network security domains
- Federal space experience preferred
- DoD 8140/8570 compliance desirable
- Active federal security clearance preferred
