Principal Systems Engineer - Model Development

Job Summary

Conduct full lifecycle design, implementation, and unit testing of software while developing analytical tools to model system behavior in real-time and constructive simulations. Design, document, test, and debug applications containing logical and mathematical solutions, soliciting stakeholder input and communicating results to leadership. Utilize Object Oriented Programming languages across Windows and Linux environments with version control tools to support mission planning, systems performance monitoring, and RF propagation modeling. Maintain Top Secret or higher clearance and work within an Integrated Product Team using agile methodologies. Full-time on-site role with up to 10% travel required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field
  • 5 years of relevant military / professional experience
  • Master of Science Degree in a STEM field
  • 3 years of relevant military / professional experience
  • PhD in a STEM field
  • 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience
  • Experience with computer/engineering skills using Object Oriented Programming languages (MATLAB, python, C#/++, etc)
  • Experience in developing software for use in both Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with version control tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Gitlab, etc)
  • Active US Government Top Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • Full-time, on-site work at the facility
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Mission planning and CONOPS development
  • Systems performance monitoring and analysis
  • Modeling or Simulation of RF propagation, Electronic Warfare, RADAR, missiles, aircraft, or satellites
  • The ability to develop physics-based models and simulations using Object Oriented programming
  • Systems and software integration experience
  • An ability to work with a team in a rapid prototyping environment
  • Experience with system of systems modeling tools: AFSIM, Suppressor, or Brawler
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to include project/analysis lead experience
