Job Summary
Design and lead enterprise-level systems architecture and cloud infrastructure solutions using Linux, Oracle databases, AWS, and Kubernetes. Provide production support for asset management applications, ensuring reliable operations through incident triage, problem resolution, and release/change implementation. Establish observability standards and develop scalable, multi-tiered infrastructure while mentoring junior engineers. Collaborate with developers to deploy code to production and execute complex technical analysis across divisional initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent)
- five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, building, and deploying infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments -- AWS and Kubernetes Infrastructure
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent)
- three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, building, and deploying infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments -- AWS and Kubernetes Infrastructure
- Demonstrated Expertise performing automated infrastructure provisioning by creating and deploying AWS CloudFormation templates to manage resources (EC2, Security Groups, and VPC)
- Demonstrated Expertise configuring dynamic routing with Route53
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing Auto Scaling for availability and cost efficiency
- Demonstrated Expertise automating system administration tasks (backups and health monitoring)
- Demonstrated Expertise deploying web application deployments using Python and Shell scripts
- Demonstrated Expertise designing and deploying multi-tier web applications on AWS using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) component (EC2 and Cloud Object Storage (S3))
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing auto scaling
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing load balancer for performance optimization
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing serverless functions with AWS Lambda
- Demonstrated Expertise exposing services via API Gateway
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing and migrating financial service applications using automated configuration management tools -- uDeploy, Puppet, Chef, Docker, and Mesos
- Demonstrated Expertise migrating across on-premises and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google)
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing Cloud Infrastructure for financial service applications, using EC2, S3, VPCs, Elastic cache, and Lambda
- Demonstrated Expertise implementing and migrating micro-services to containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated Expertise creating S3 buckets for seamless data operations
