Job Summary
Principal Systems Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer) for Altera Digital Health. Remote role open to candidates within the United States. Responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of hosted healthcare platforms; combines software and systems engineering to automate operations, improve service availability, and enhance customer experience. Lead incident management, perform root cause analysis, define and measure SLIs/SLOs, develop proactive monitoring and alerting, automate tasks with scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code, and provide technical leadership during major incidents. Required: 7+ years in enterprise applications, infrastructure, or cloud environments; strong experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic); Windows Server/IIS/.NET stack; SQL Server performance tuning and Always On; Azure cloud and networking fundamentals; ITSM/ITIL familiarity; scripting (PowerShell, Python); Terraform or ARM/Bicep; CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions); Kubernetes and containerized workloads; healthcare technology experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
