Principal System Administrator

Monitor and optimize Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) by performing regular system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Ensure server stability, security, and integrity through patching, configuration management, and updates. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls while executing system backups and data recovery procedures. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or Perl scripting. This role supports the Government's full spectrum of processing missions from collection through data access, leveraging existing corporate services for prototype and development efforts. Work site is Ft. Meade, MD area.
