Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain secure Windows and Linux enterprise environments, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIG compliance for mission-critical systems operating 24x7x365. Engineer and sustain virtual infrastructure using VMware ESXi and vCenter, while deploying enterprise imaging and automation solutions via MECM/SCCM and PowerShell. Administer core Windows services such as Active Directory and Group Policy, and collaborate with Cyber Security and DevSecOps teams to resolve complex integration challenges. Support planned and emergent operational needs in a fully on-site DoD closed-area environment, requiring a Secret clearance and 100% onsite presence with up to 15% travel. Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 baseline certification within six months of starting.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers
- Experience with VMware virtualization
- Experience with securing system configurations, system hardening
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 baseline certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) within 6 months of starting date
- 100% onsite work in a closed area
- Up to 15% travel to supported RTX locations in MA, RI, and NH
Desired Qualifications
- Experience serving as a technical SME or primary point of contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives
- Hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks
- Familiarity with NetApp storage and/or HPC environments
- Experience with enterprise Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integration
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling, such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes
- Experience supporting or integrating with DevSecOps environments, including Kubernetes, Rancher, and artifact repositories
- Experience with SQL Server, including clustered configurations
