Job Summary
Define and develop material strategy by aggregating demand requirements and executing material forecasting and delivery schedules. Analyze purchase material supply and demand using MRP tools to monitor inventory levels based on Bill-of-Materials requirements. Participate in make/buy processes, long-term capacity planning, and product phase-in/phase-out management while leading affordability and cost savings strategies. Collaborate cross-functionally with supplier quality, engineering, and production teams to prioritize material shortages and support manufacturing lines with planned and unplanned requirements. Requires 9 years of experience, a Secret clearance, and a 4/10 Monday–Thursday schedule in Palmdale, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Active DOD Secret Clearance with investigation completed in the last 5 years (to apply/start)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time
- 9 years of experience with a HS diploma
- 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
- 3 years of experience with a master's degree
- Experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or another relevant field
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel and Power Point
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking
- Self-motivated and able to work as a teammate and independently
- Ability to perform 50% desk work and 50% production floor integration responsibilities
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
- Experience with ERP system, specifically SAP
- Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
- MES Program Experience
- Experience working knowledge in production planning process
- Working knowledge with Total Quality Management
- Working knowledge with Procurement
- Working knowledge with Supplier Quality Assurance
