Job Summary
Principal Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring supplier-provided materials and products meet quality standards, KPIs, and regulatory requirements for global distribution. Lead supplier audits (on-site or virtual), manage end-to-end SSD quality performance across supplier manufacturing sites and customer sites, and drive cross-functional quality initiatives with Sourcing, Planning, R&D, and Manufacturing Operations. Translate root-cause analyses into corrective actions, champion continuous improvement, and provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team. Requires extensive experience in supplier quality management, strong analytical and leadership capabilities, and hands-on expertise with hardware/electrical design and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in supplier quality management
- Experience with SSDs or related technologies
- Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent Quality Black Belt certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline
- Hands-on experience with engineering tools, software systems, and analytical methods to test, design, evaluate, and improve products and production processes
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience conducting supplier audits and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
