Job Summary

Prepare certification documentation including Cert plans, Similarity/Compliance Reports, and Qualification plans for airplane interior components. Coordinate internal and external activities with regulatory agencies like the FAA and OEMs to ensure compliance with certification requirements. Conduct reviews of complex analyses, drawings, and reports to verify conformity with standards and provide constructive feedback on design methods and materials. Research regulations, develop critical data, and generate technical proposals that integrate product knowledge with market strategy. Identify new business opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance certification efficiency and demonstrate airworthiness. Execute engineering techniques across disciplines to solve problems and make design decisions. Up to 10% travel required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience
  • Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience (if holding an Advanced Degree)
  • A Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil engineering
  • Up to 10% travel, based on business needs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to work with various organizations/product lanes internally and support the team to success
  • Experience and involvement in certification and testing of airplane interior components
  • Engineering and/or Certification/Test experience, including prior experience in certification by test and certification by analysis
  • Applied experience with failure modes of systems
  • Experience reviewing and approving drawings
  • Working knowledge of PMA/TSO/STC/OEM qualification and certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams
