Job Summary
The Principal Structural Engineer oversees all aspects of a regional business unit, including managing staff, project proposals, and ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules. This role involves performing structural calculations, developing construction plans using AutoCAD or Revit, creating structural models, and conducting field visits during construction. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, with at least 10 years of structural design experience.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. Civil Engineering from an accredited school
- PE license required
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office required
- 10+ years of relevant structural design work
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Bentley RAM software suite preferred
- Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of local and national design codes, including the NY Building Code, AASHTO, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, and NDS
