Job Summary
Lead complex structural design projects from concept to completion, acting as the primary technical advisor to clients and managing interdisciplinary collaboration with architecture and MEP teams. Perform advanced structural calculations and designs, develop technical documentation including FEA models within BIM platforms, and resolve design challenges to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Mentor junior engineers, provide strategic guidance on structural solutions, and represent the firm in client meetings and industry events. This role supports the growth of the Structural Engineering discipline across a diverse portfolio including railway stations and high-rise structures in Madrid, requiring 20 years of experience and fluency in Spanish and English.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (recognized degree in Spain)
- At least 20 years of experience in structural design and calculations, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions for complex building projects
- Fluency in Spanish and English is essential
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
