Job Summary
Principal Staff Software Engineer in LinkedIn's Development Infrastructure (DI) group. Lead and mentor a team delivering engineering systems that enable LinkedIn developers to build and deploy services efficiently with high quality and minimal friction. Collaborate across Engineering to shape strategy and roadmaps for multi-team programs, own the design, development, testing, deployment, and operations of scalable infrastructure, and drive improvements in developer productivity and code velocity. Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and contribute to industry and open-source efforts. Build operational excellence roadmaps, promote best practices from design to delivery, and help elevate the overall developer experience through robust, scalable infrastructure and tooling.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
- 10+ years of programming experience in Java, C++, C# or similar
- 7+ years of experience building large-scale distributed applications
- 7+ years in a technical leadership role overseeing large, cross-functional teams
- 3+ years of experience building developer infrastructure and services, including development and code collaboration environments, CI/CD platforms, and measuring software development productivity and quality
