Job Summary
Principal/Sr. Principal Project Management role in Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (Rolling Meadows, IL) focused on business operations analytics for project management. Responsibilities include data analysis to optimize tool usage (Salesforce, SIMPL, Tableau) with dashboard updates for the business pipeline, NCTA and Capital management; providing strategic analysis of BU funding; supporting continuous improvement and adoption of tools and practices; producing reviews/reports on project metrics; ensuring data integrity across datasets; supporting division and BU reporting, DRB, and pipeline analytics; organizing and prioritizing multiple projects; and developing presentations. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (5+ years of experience) or Master’s degree (3+ years), experience with SAP, Tableau, Excel, SharePoint, US citizenship, and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel of ~10% is noted. On-site in Rolling Meadows, IL with no relocation assistance offered. The role may be filled at Principal or Sr. Principal level depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years for Principal level
- Experience producing reports, dashboards, or reconciliation summaries
- Experience interpreting data trends, forecasting and providing actionable insights
- Experience coordinating project tasks (planning, scheduling, tracking)
- Minimum 1 year experience with SAP for financial reporting or project data management
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, basic data modeling)
- Experience with SharePoint for document management and collaboration
- US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
- Role may be filled at Principal or Sr. Principal level based on experience
- Strong data management and presentation skills
- Ability to develop dashboards or data visualizations in Tableau or similar tools
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) or similar for project data
- Experience with DRB and NCTA processes
- Knowledge of government contracts and budgeting processes
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
