Job Summary
Lead and execute cost control and EVMS-related activities for a high-visibility defense program. Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring the cost control system, performing Earned Value Management analyses, preparing budgets and funding profiles, conducting variance analyses, ensuring funding availability, incorporating contractual changes into control systems, and guiding CAMs on EVMS practices. Build and maintain program plans, time-phase budgets, and forecast accuracy; prepare and present monthly EVM artifacts and reports in compliance with government guidelines. Requires interaction with program managers, CAMs, and business managers to support program execution, on-site in Huntsville, AL, with occasional travel up to 10%. Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret security clearance. Proficiency in EVMS software and advanced Excel is essential. Relocation assistance is not provided. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or higher (Master's degree preferred)
- 5+ years related experience for Level 3 or 3+ years for corresponding level with degree
- Experience with Earned Value Management and EVMS Software
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup, conditional formatting)
- Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL
- Potential travel up to 10%
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
- DOE: Defense industry experience preferred
- Ability to prepare budgets, funding profiles, and variance analyses
- Understanding of EVMS System Descriptions and compliance requirements
- Experience with cost control and government cost control guidelines
- Experience with Deltek Cobra and/or SAP or similar systems
- Program control and cost/schedule integration
- Ability to interface with CAMs, program managers, and business managers
- Ability to develop program plans and capture SOW requirements
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience with funding projections and expenditure projections
- Knowledge of time-phasing of budgets and forecast
- Ability to incorporate contractual changes into EVMS baseline
- Experience preparing monthly EVM artifacts
- Ability to guide CAMs on EVM activities
- Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, AL
- Ability to travel as required
