Job Summary
Principal/Sr Principal Materials and Processes Engineer to support the F-35 Center Fuselage and related manufacturing, defining and transitioning new materials and processes to improve efficiency, cost, and quality. Responsibilities include material/process integration, test development, troubleshooting material failures, creating process documentation, coordinating with design/materials/quality engineers, ensuring material performance, and participating in risk management. Role requires interfacing with operations and design, MRB disposition coordination, and potential hybrid on-site work with up to 10% travel. Requires STEM degree (minimum) with eligibility to obtain US Government Secret clearance; relocation assistance may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related STEM discipline
- Experience with material testing and material qualification
- Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance and SAP/SAR
- Travel up to 10% of time
