Job Summary
Principal/Sr. Principal Software Engineer focused on migrating/ adapting mobile control station software to a cloud environment, building IaC and cloud infrastructure for deployment in an IL-5 cloud with containerization, instrumentation, security, and system testing; collaboration across Software Eng, Systems Eng, Cloud & App, DevOps in an Agile environment; onsite in El Segundo, CA with relocation assistance and eligibility for a US government clearance; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years related engineering experience; OR Master’s degree with 3+ years; OR PhD with 1+ years (Principal) OR Bachelor’s with 8+ years; OR Master’s with 6+ years; OR PhD with 4+ years (Sr. Principal)
- US government clearance ability required
- Experience with infrastructure components (VMs, containers, network, storage, Linux/Windows, IT security)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker/Kubernetes, microservices
- Experience with software-defined networking
- Experience with a coding/scripting language (C, C++, Java, Python)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Preferred qualifications include cloud platform certifications (AWS/Azure), cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+), RBAC concept familiarity
- Active clearance (SECRET or higher) with SAP; TS/SCI considered
- Knowledge of cloud networking administration (ACL, Security Groups)
- Experience leading technical teams
- US citizen
