Job Summary
Apply technical principles to assigned tasks, creating and reviewing engineering drawings, test reports, and procedure documents for system variants including circuit boards and mechanical features. Generate and update parts lists while acting as a liaison with global supply chain counterparts to maintain configuration and compliance with quality, security, and industry standards. Collaborate with peers in adjacent functions such as electrical design, systems engineering, and manufacturing to develop technical solutions for problems of moderate scope and complexity. Make good judgment design decisions regarding individual tasks to minimize rework and maximize reuse of existing designs. Prioritize tasks efficiently to meet commitments while professionally representing the organization to internal and external contacts.

- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 3 years of experience with a Masters degree
- 1 year of experience with STEM PhD degree
- Fundamental understanding of heat transfer
- Fundamental understanding of mechanics of materials
- Fundamental understanding of vibration
- Experience with hardware design and integration processes
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office and CAD experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail

- Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/ SCI Security Clearance
- Experience with CATIA V5
- Experience with Siemens NX

- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) standards within a CPLM framework
- Hands on support to a production floor providing engineering sustainment support including but not limited to: disposition of nonconformances, RCCA analysis, implementation of ECRs/ECOs
- Applied electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results
- Construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components
- Quality testing
- Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems
- Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced, high-demand environments
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers and facilitating knowledge transfer within teams
- Experience developing proposals
- Experience with the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Experience with agile programs
- Knowledge of electronic components and their applications in communication systems
