Job Summary
Principal Digital Engineer / Sr. Principal Digital Engineer based in San Diego, CA. Lead digital designs for multi-function software-defined radios, with hands-on VHDL design, verification, and testing of AMD and/or Intel FPGAs. Requires experience with EDA tools (Vivado, Quartus, Questa), ability to work independently, and eligibility to obtain/maintain US Government Secret Clearance. Relocation assistance offered. Primary focus on advanced digital design in an environment close to labs and on-site manufacturing. Is dual-level requisition: can be filled as Principal Digital Engineer or Sr. Principal Digital Engineer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Engineering (BSCE) for Principal Digital Engineer; 5+ years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Masters; 1 year with PhD.
- Hands on experience in VHDL design, verification, simulation, and testing of AMD and/or Intel FPGAs.
- Experience with EDA Tools for FPGA Development: Vivado, Quartus, Questa Simulator.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to team success.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Clearance.
- Sr. Principal Digital Engineer: 8+ years with BSEE/BSCE; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD; same VHDL/EDA requirements; clearance requirement.
