Job Summary
As a Principal/Sr. Principal Digital Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for research, design, and development of digital hardware products. Expertise in digital component design and analysis, modeling and simulation, and circuit level design and test is essential. Candidates should have experience with FPGA technologies, digital circuit design, and the ability to work within integrated product teams on full life-cycle product development, including hands-on prototyping and debugging of complex digital subsystems. This role requires the ability to translate operational specifications into hardware requirements and experience with revision control and documentation systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar engineering discipline
- Digital electronics design experience (5 years with Bachelor's or 3 years with Master's for Principal; 8 years with Bachelor's or 6 years with Master's for Sr. Principal)
- Digital circuit design experience, including simulation & schematic capture through test and integration
- Hands-on prototyping and debug experience testing complex digital subsystems
- Demonstrated ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
- Familiarity with documentation, revision control and review systems like DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- An advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum 12 years of digital electronics design experience
- Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems
- Recent circuit card design experience utilizing circuit-related tools including Cadence Concept, Allegro, and/or Mentor DxDesigner, Expedition
- Working experience with ClearCase/ClearQuest and DOORS
- Proven skills to include team leadership, communicating with all levels of an organization internally and externally, adaptable, creative, collaborative and comfortable working independently and enjoys solving difficult problems
- Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
