Job Summary
Lead a Principal role for Springmill STEM Elementary School (K-6) within Mansfield City Schools. Responsibilities include instructional leadership, coaching teachers, ensuring student and staff safety, collaborating with families and the community, implementing district and state evaluation standards (OTES), supervising staff, overseeing budget and facilities, and driving school improvement initiatives. Requires building a collaborative, standards-aligned environment and communicating effectively with staff, students, families, and the community. Must hold a Master's Degree and an Ohio principal license/certificate, with at least 3 years of classroom teaching experience and leadership experience in education.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must hold a valid Ohio school principal license/certificate.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years classroom teaching experience.
- Successful experience working in a leadership role in education
- Must have knowledge of current successful administrative practices and procedures and relevant education research.
- Must have the skills to work effectively in an urban/suburban setting with a diverse socio-economic, culturally mixed student body.
- Excellent skills to communicate effectively in speaking and writing to staff, students, parents/guardians, and the community at large.
- Must have the ability and attitude to function as a part of the district administrative team and accept responsibilities for tasks assigned.
- Demonstrates flexibility.
- Demonstrates talent in successful teaching as reflected in student performance-based and standardized assessments.
- Demonstrates a problem-solving attitude.
- Believes and models the refrain that all students can learn.
- Demonstrates excellent attendance and recognizes the connection of outstanding attendance to the relevance, rigor, and cycle of teaching and learning.
