Job Summary
Oversee data platform operation and enhancement for the organization’s data platform, including Alteryx servers and databases. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, proposing and implementing enhancement proposals, coordinating with internal/external IT parties, supporting IT compliance (e.g., disaster recovery, security controls, configuration changes), software configuration, housekeeping, patching, upgrades and testing; managing and standardizing data analysis workflow execution; database/workflow performance tuning; conducting data analysis as required. Lead data platform enhancement initiatives to modernize how Finance data assets are stored and accessed; stay updated with emerging technologies and propose best practices in database management; advise on data structure design for feasibility and efficiency; facilitate identification of issues/risks and coordinate resolutions; report project planning/solution/progress/risks/highlights; provide training and mentorship to team members; perform ad-hoc tasks from management. Requirements include 5+ years in IT with at least 2 years in database applications projects, proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, experience with replication/sharding/clustering, understanding of big data areas, and fluent English.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years + IT experience
- minimum of 2 years in database applications related projects
- Familiar in SQL and Non-SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with database replication, sharding, clustering, and housekeeping
- Basic understanding on big data areas: Data Acquisition and Ingestion, Data storage, Data Processing, Data Analytics and Visualization, Data management and Governance, Data integration and Interoperability, Cloud Computing, AI
- Fluent English in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking
