Job Summary
Principal Sales Engineer for Observe by Snowflake based in the UK and across Europe. Responsible for driving the technical closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating the value of Observe to prospective customers. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth technical discovery, tailoring demonstrations, designing and managing Proofs of Concepts, supporting the Sales team as the technical SME throughout the sales cycle, collecting customer feedback for product and engineering teams, creating technical sales collateral and delivering training, and traveling to client sites and industry events as required. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) and 10+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect, with strong knowledge of modern Observability concepts and tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK), and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices) across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in software
- Deep technical understanding of Observability concepts and tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, AWS, Azure, GCP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
