Job Summary
Lead design, build, and automation of cloud infrastructure in a DevSecOps environment on AWS, with deep expertise in IaC (Terraform) and Amazon EKS for container orchestration. Architect secure, scalable, and highly available platforms across networking (VPC, Route53), compute (EC2, Lambda), storage (S3, EBS), and databases (RDS); implement immutable infrastructure and automated, secure CI/CD pipelines; guide development teams and champion best practices (Git workflows, AI-assisted development); hybrid-cloud readiness with VMware/OpenShift, and strong emphasis on security, least-privilege IAM, and containerized workloads. Requires 10+ years of related experience, DoD 8140 certifications, and TS/SCI clearance; preferred familiarity with VMware vSphere in hybrid contexts, Ansible, other public clouds, programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript), and open-source contributions.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or other languages
- Deep experience designing and managing Amazon EKS
- Strong command of AWS IAM roles, policies, and security best practices
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, Linux/Unix administration, and security principles
- Proficiency with Git and modern GitOps practices
- Must possess and maintain required DoD 8140 certifications
- An active TS/SCI federal security clearance is required
