Job Summary
Own the target architecture for the Core Banking re-platforming, selecting technology stacks, defining architectural patterns, and designing migration approaches. Partner with Financial Services and Sales teams on presales activities, leading technical workshops with potential clients to translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical solutions. Continuously investigate new technologies and frameworks relevant to financial services, running Proof of Concepts to develop architectural concepts for new initiatives. Set engineering standards for the Unit, lead the architecture council, establish lightweight processes for architectural decisions, and mentor senior engineers. This role requires 10+ years in software architecture with at least 5 years in financial services, including experience leading legacy-to-modern modernization and strong technical communication skills. Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in software architecture
- at least 5 years in financial services
- Demonstrable track record of architecting a banking system or comparable platform
- Presales and client-facing architecture experience
- Experience in leading a legacy-to-modern modernization in financial services
- Strong technical communication
- Excellent at producing clear architectural documentation
- Comfortable in presenting to engineers and bank executives
- Hands-on credibility
- Can still read code
- Can prototype concepts
- Can engage at the level of technical detail when required
- Familiarity with modern stacks like Java
- Familiarity with .NET
- Familiarity with modern relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Kafka
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with common cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to work in a hybrid working model
