Job Summary
Design, develop, and support eCommerce projects throughout the software development life cycle, estimating effort and planning system rollouts. Lead product initiatives by recommending improvements and mentoring junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver scalable, reliable solutions. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve critical stability issues, and assist with site rollouts in a time-sensitive environment. Maintain deep expertise in JavaScript, web markup, and asynchronous handling to build reusable components that meet strict development goals.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
- Solid understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Highly skilled at front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript
- Experience with XML and JSON technologies
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
- Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
- Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as webpack, npm, Grunt and Gulp.js
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN
- Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
- Proficiency in building reusable components and moduls
