Job Summary
Lead testing efforts for the Affera Mapping and Ablation System software, including development and execution of manual test plans and automated test scripts to ensure reliability and performance of real-time visualization applications. Own feature-level verification, collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose defects, ensure adherence to IEC-62304 and FDA guidance, and drive quality improvements. Requires experience in medical device verification, Python-based automation, and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with hardware debugging experience (oscilloscope, function generators). Must be able to coordinate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers and communicate findings effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PHD with 3 years relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related
- Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators
- Experience writing, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts in Python or a comparable language
- Experience with functional, regression, and system-level test cases; test frameworks and reusable test libraries; log analysis; debugging failures; integration with verification workflow
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Systems, Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineers
- Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs
- Strong communication skills
