Job Summary
Design and architect scalable SaaS features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and tRPC to transform customer-specific solutions into reusable platform capabilities. Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with strategic insurance clients to define future-state strategies, while delivering production-ready code for mission-critical applications. Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap priorities and champion engineering excellence through CI/CD optimization, observability, and mentorship. This remote US role requires 10+ years of full-stack experience, 20% travel, and direct client-facing accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Insurtech experience is required!
- 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend development, specifically within SaaS products or startup environments
- Excellent Communication skills
- Consultative type background - acting as a consultant/partner to end clients while remaining accountable for deliverables
- Strong coder with shown proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or similar
- Hands-on experience with Next.js App Router (server components, layouts, streaming, caching)
- Experience with tRPC or equivalent type-safe API frameworks
- Ability to design scalable systems and a solid understanding of frontend performance, state management, and accessibility
- 20% travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Background in UI/UX design or working closely with designers is highly preferred
