Job Summary
Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. Help ensure new product designs meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements (DO-178) and that engineering best practices are followed. Lead audits of development processes, analyze data for trends and systemic issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to ensure smooth transition to production. Mentor engineering teams, drive quality improvements across the design and development lifecycle, and assist with certification-related documentation and processes to achieve high-quality designs.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience with software development and the associated processes
- Experience in the engineering development lifecycle(s)
- U.S. citizenship is required
