Job Summary
Section Leader for the Missile Defense Sensors Software Team in Woburn, MA, responsible for providing guidance and leadership to a section of 15 to 20 engineers, mentoring and performing performance feedback, and sustaining the section's development and assessment. Leads policy alignment, flow-down to team members, and salary/labor planning, while driving career development and interdepartmental collaboration. Requires a Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of software development experience, strong proficiency in C/C++/Java/Ada, and experience in agile development (Scrum or Kanban). Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD security clearance and be a US citizen. Emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and delivery of high-quality deployments within a defense software program, with emphasis on Agile/DevSecOps principles and radar-domain knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in software development, integration or test using C, C++, Java, or Ada
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
