Job Summary
Drive adoption of AI-first engineering practices by applying LLMs, Copilot, and RAG architectures to accelerate feature delivery and code modernization. Own and deliver critical product features end-to-end while defining architecture for new features aligned with long-term platform evolution toward API-first, event-driven, and modular systems. Refactor legacy .NET and AngularJS applications into clean, testable components and improve reliability through enhanced logging, monitoring, and diagnostics. Mentor senior engineers on system design and coding practices to influence technical decisions across multiple teams without direct authority.
Required Qualifications
- 17+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant hands-on development and architecture responsibilities
- Proven experience delivering complex enterprise features at scale, while contributing to system design and evolution
- Strong background in designing, building, and modernizing enterprise platforms
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a Principal Engineer / Lead Architect-level contributor
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled development practices (e.g., Copilot, LLM integrations, automation)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to debug and optimize across full-stack systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence across teams
- Experience with AngularJS and/or modern Angular, including evolving legacy UI architectures into modular, maintainable systems
- Deep expertise in C#/.NET, including ASP.NET MVC and Web APIs, building scalable and maintainable backend services
- Strong experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework, including schema design, query optimization, and transactional systems
- Experience with Windows Services, WebJobs, and asynchronous processing patterns supporting enterprise workloads
- Strong experience designing and building Web APIs, WebHooks, and event-driven systems
- Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and diagnostics frameworks such as ELMAH or equivalent
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques in software engineering or product development
- Familiarity with LLMs and prompt-driven systems
- Familiarity with RAG architectures and knowledge retrieval systems
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, code assistants)
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical engineering solutions and measurable impact
- Strong interest in continuously evolving engineering practices using AI as a force multiplier
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Java (Spring Boot) and related ecosystems for building microservices (preferred but not mandatory)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with microservices, containerization, and DevOps practices
- Experience working with distributed systems and integration-heavy architectures
- Operates effectively across both hands-on delivery and strategic decision-making
- Thinks in terms of systems, scalability, and long-term architecture
