Job Summary
Technical leadership role overseeing end-to-end software design, development, and analyses for the Rocky program. The principal software engineer will partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software architectures, lead software team activities including code reviews, and drive the adoption of current and emerging technologies to meet program schedules. Responsibilities include overseeing software system-level analyses to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with project plans and industry standards, and contributing to architectural strategy across space-ground solutions. This role requires an active TS security clearance and is 100% onsite in Albuquerque, NM. Familiarity with space-based or ground-based software, software engineering lifecycle practices, and modern tools/frameworks is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret US Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility post-start
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns
- Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems
- Experience with Software Engineering principles including Software Configuration Management, Software Architecture and Design, and Software Life Cycle Management
- Demonstrated ability to lead software teams through code reviews and ensure alignment to requirements and standards
