Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement scalable, resilient, cloud-native microservices using Java 21, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Kubernetes to modernize legacy payment processing systems. Architect fault-tolerant solutions ensuring high availability and transaction integrity for high-volume, high-value transactions while integrating Generative AI tools to automate codebase transformations. Lead data engineering pipelines and Data Lake solutions using Databricks, Spark, and Azure ADF for analytics, alongside real-time synchronization workflows with Kafka, Airflow, and KSQL for retail clients. Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews to maintain coding standards and best practices across cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Software Architect, Lead Developer, or in a related/similar position
- minimum of 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable, resilient, cloud-native microservices
- minimum of 6 years of experience ensuring adherence to coding standards, code quality, and best practices
- minimum of 6 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- minimum of 6 years of experience working with Java
- minimum of 6 years of experience working with Spring Boot
- minimum of 6 years of experience working with MongoDB
- minimum of 6 years of experience working with PostgreSQL
- minimum of 6 years of experience working with Open API
- 3 years of experience architecting and developing fault-tolerant microservices to replace legacy monolithic applications ensuring high availability, transaction integrity, and system reliability
- 2 years of experience designing and building data engineering pipelines and Data Lake solutions using Databricks including Spark with Scala, Azure ADF, and Delta Lake for analytical and machine learning use cases
- 2 years of experience using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and Python
- 1 year of experience in NATS
- Hybrid role, ability to work from home
