Job Summary
Principal Software Engineer for Notetaker responsible for integrating live audio/video ingestion, transcription, and GenAI-powered insights into a low-latency, production system. Architect real-time conversation pipelines, lead major initiatives, and ship features that are robust and trustworthy. Drive how transcription, summarization, and conversation intelligence models are used in live and post-call workflows, emphasizing reliability, privacy, observability, and scalability. Collaborate with Product/Design to ensure clarity and usefulness, influence architecture across Calendar, CRM, and AI teams, and mentor senior engineers to build better real-time and AI-powered systems.
Required Qualifications
- Deep experience building distributed systems with real-time or near-real-time constraints
- Familiarity with audio/video pipelines, streaming systems, or event-driven architectures
- Practical experience applying GenAI to user-facing products, especially summarization, classification, or insight generation
- Strong judgment around tradeoffs between speed, quality, cost, and correctness
- Bias for action: prefer working systems over perfect abstractions, and stay hands-on through delivery
