Job Summary
Senior Principal Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Technology leading ML platform initiatives. Responsibilities include partnering with product owners to define technology strategies and roadmaps, serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing hands-on leadership for on-premises and cloud-based machine learning platforms capable of deploying scalable predictive models, architecting and integrating enterprise-grade solutions, driving innovation and governance for the ML Platform, and establishing monitoring, performance, and reliability standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Skills emphasized include Java/Spring Boot, ML frameworks, Spark/Hadoop, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Databricks), ML model serving, MLOps, NLP, Python, and experience shaping architectural roadmaps in an agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- Proven experience building application frameworks and/or platform development at an enterprise scale
- Deep knowledge of solution design patterns and experience building resilient solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, including associated security considerations
- Proven experience in building high-volume, low-latency, high-throughput transactional systems using java & spring boot
- Strong background with Machine Learning frameworks and Big Data technologies such as spark and hadoop
- Experience working with one or more cloud platform providers, including Azure, AWS, and Databricks
- Demonstrated ability to define application solution architecture and technology roadmaps
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
