Job Summary
Lead technical and team leadership in UI, application, and service tiers while mentoring Senior Developers and junior team members. Translate business requirements with the Product Owner to deliver optimized customer journeys using the latest industry front-end standards. Define and ensure compliance to standards and best practice for UI, application, and service tier development including design patterns, release management, and source code control. Take ownership for ensuring key tasks in the software life cycle are completed and collaborate with the Product Owner to deliver on quarterly business objectives while developing a multi-year roadmap for the platform. Provide expertise as a UI SME to further Product Area and WI Technology capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or post-primary degree in a Technology-related subject area
- 10 or more years' development experience
- 5+ in front-end development
- Experience in leading teams in technology and full stack solutions
- Expert skills with Java
- Expert skills with Spring
- Expert skills with RESTful services
- Expert skills with JUnit
- Extensive experience with web fundamentals like HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
- Extensive experience building responsive web applications
- Extensive experience of front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience with release management
- Experience with source control
- Experience with CI/CD technologies, e.g. Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.
- Ability to apply previous experience of Automation Tools/Test Frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Mocha, Selenium, Protractor, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with any of the following a plus: Artifactory, Monorepo, Apache Camel, AWS / ECS / EKS, code analysis tools, e.g. Mend, Githas Security Sonar, JaCoCo, etc.
