Principal Software Engineer (Hybrid - Aguadilla, PR)

Job Summary
Lead architecture, design, and development of complex real-time embedded software for navigation and timing solutions supporting military ground, airborne, and maritime applications. Provide technical leadership across the software lifecycle, define strategies for production test solution software, translate hardware test requirements into automated test software, develop production-grade test sequences and drivers, and lead verification/validation while ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive continual improvement and high-reliability field performance.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of experience or Advanced Degree with 5+ years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Experience with embedded and real-time software
- Experience with SDLC for embedded and test software
- Proficiency in C, C++, Ada, or other high-order languages in embedded environments
- Experience with Python for test scripting, automation, or data analysis
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows
- Experience with UI/UX front-end and back-end development and API design for embedded or test applications
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Docker, Artifactory, GitLab Pipelines, etc.)
- Experience with configuration management systems (SVN, Git, GitLab, GitHub)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, or model-based development
- Strong collaboration with hardware/test engineering teams
- Ability to translate hardware test requirements into automated software
- Experience leading verification and validation of test software
- Experience maintaining production-grade test sequences, drivers, and data management
- Knowledge of hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
- Ability to lead Agile ceremonies
