Principal Software Engineer - Digital Twin and Simulation

Job Summary

Lead the development of the simulation software stack, defining and implementing development, QA/QC processes, and standards while translating business requirements into software designs. Mentor and lead a team of software engineers, supporting hiring, technical interviewing, and onboarding activities. Participate in architecture and requirements discussions, work tightly with the Robotic team to align needs with implementations, and drive agile process definition including team charters, CI/CD discussions, and peer review processes. Lead brainstorming and ideation sessions to define the full stack capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience of building simulation and rendering platforms
  • Experience in 3D object rendering and manipulation
  • Experienced with mapping technology (Like GIS, Terrain mapping, OpenLayers)
  • Experienced in leveraging web graphic / animation standard library
  • Advance knowledge of designing, building and using open source, publish data and APIs (like graphQL)
  • Experienced in designing, publishing and maintaining DB schema (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experienced in setting best practices and processes for engineering team
  • Deep experience in using AI coding tool (like Claude, Copilot, Cursor)
  • Proven experience in learning new technology (self learning)
  • Experience with Cloud Platform such as AWS (Preferred), Azure, Google cloud / Firebase
  • Experience with web automation tooling and deploying on CI/CD (Like WebPack, ESLint, Playright)
  • 7+ years of experience hands on coding backend in coding language such as Java or Node.Js
  • 5+ years of experience hands on coding frontend in coding language such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • 5+ years of experience hands on coding with Framework such as Angular, React/NextJs
  • 5+ years of experience with agile methodology
  • Good knowledge of Python
  • Experience with Nvidia Omniverse or other Simulation Platform
  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Irving, TX office (Dallas)
  • This position requires working onsite five days a week
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position
