Job Summary
Drive and execute the technology roadmap for Java, J2EE, and AWS cloud-based applications while implementing SRE, ITIL, and ITSM frameworks. Participate in architecture design teams to define application-level architecture and develop complex software components across multiple platforms. Conduct studies of alternatives, recommend changes to development policies and standards, and establish full project life cycle plans. Advise senior management on technical strategy, manage risk assessment, and coordinate project schedules and assignments. Serve as a primary liaison for business units to resolve project and technology issues, providing daily technical evaluations and mentoring junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent)
- Five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions in an AWS cloud-based environment, using EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent)
- Three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions in an AWS cloud-based environment, using EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated Expertise ('DE') designing and implementing Java 8 based enterprise applications and services, using RESTful Web Services, Spring framework, Angular framework, and Hibernate, to deliver shares application system
- DE developing Java and J2EE applications and Web services; performing Object-Oriented De-sign (OOD) using Model View Controller (MVC) and Microservices design patterns, Bit-bucket and Stash repositories, and Maven dependency manager; and performing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Jenkins for deployment on Linux Virtual Machines
- DE designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Java applications, using Struts, Spring, JavaScript, JSPs, and ORM frameworks; and developing Web services using JAX-WS, SOAP, XML, and WSDL according to Agile methodologies
- DE developing and supporting Java services (SOAP and RESTful) and middle-tier, multi-threaded on-premise and cloud (AWS) based applications, using Java, Spring, and Hibernate framework, according to Agile methodologies; performing application build, deployment, and support, using CI tools -- Jenkins, Ant, and Maven; performing configuration management using Apache Subversion (SVN) and Git Stash; and performing Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Unit/JUnit testing techniques, Veracode, and SONAR
