Job Summary
Principal Software Engineer in JPMorganChase Card Technology to lead complex, scalable software frameworks and secure production-grade code. You will advise cross-functional teams, serve as SME, influence senior stakeholders, and contribute to reusable frameworks across portfolios. Strong emphasis on Java/J2EE, REST, Kafka, Spring, AWS, and frontend frameworks; require 10+ years of experience and formal software engineering training or certification. The role focuses on high-quality, durable solutions, cloud-native practices, and alignment with the firm’s diversity and inclusion values.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 10+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced knowledge of software development and technical processes (cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.)
- Experience communicating with senior leaders and executives
- Practical cloud native experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (implied by experience)
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs, Web Services
- Experience with Spring Framework and AWS Services (S3, Terraform, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Front-end frameworks experience (React, Angular, ExtJS)
- AWS Certification (preferred)
- Performance testing and tuning experience (preferred)
