Job Summary
Principal Software Engineer, Backend at Grab Singapore leads AI-driven initiatives to optimize the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with diverse teams to identify opportunities where AI can reduce workload and improve efficiency, define and plan impactful AI projects, write code and integrate AI tools into existing workflows to boost productivity, coordinate cross-team efforts to deploy scalable solutions, and mentor engineers to foster technical excellence. The role requires 8+ years of software development experience, strong Go expertise, cloud and container orchestration experience (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes), proficiency with CI/CD, and excellent communication across stakeholders. On-site at Grab Singapore One-North, with in-person work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Expertise in Go (Golang)
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to mentor and lead engineers across teams
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end software projects
- Experience in AI tool integration or AI-driven workflows (preferred)
- Ability to plan, define, and execute AI initiatives across multiple teams
- On-site work at Grab Singapore One-North (Singapore)
