Job Summary
UI Engineering-focused Manager leading a team of engineers in a fast-growing UI/ frontend-oriented environment. Responsible for mentoring and career development, conducting weekly or bi-monthly one-on-one meetings, quarterly reviews, guiding promotion processes, and participating in hiring and onboarding. Collaborates with Product, Support, and cross-functional teams to drive delivery, address customer escalations, and ensure high-quality frontend work. Drives process improvements, sets OKRs, measures and reports on UI engineering metrics, and may lead one or more delivery teams. The role requires managing 3-8 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and customer-first focus, and contributing to frontend development and cross-functional initiatives while aligning with company goals and engineering leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in the software field
- Previous people management experience
- Previous experience in UI engineering/front end development
- Previous experience with agile software development
- Experience establishing strategic relationships quickly
- Adept at understanding the root cause of customer requests and pinpointing the correct way to solve the problem
- Collaborative, solutions-focused mentality
