Job Summary
Own the architecture and solution design of modern, scalable software systems by leading domain discovery and modelling with customers to establish bounded contexts and a shared ubiquitous language. Shape technical direction by challenging business and technical architecture, ensuring service boundaries and integration strategies align with evolving domain needs. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, articulating trade-offs while working hands-on across the stack—particularly React-based applications—to keep code, architecture, and business understanding aligned. Establish documented architectural decisions and standards that outlive engagements, while mentoring engineers to grow domain-driven and architectural capability within the practice. Drive improvements in testing strategy, automation, and delivery cadence to reduce technical debt and improve long-term maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- UK Security Clearance eligibility
- British Passport or ILR
- Resided in the UK for the last 5 years
- No criminal record or financial irregularities
- Architecturally minded senior engineer
- Deep, practical experience applying Domain Driven Design on real systems
- Experience leading collaborative domain discovery with business stakeholders
- Strong architectural judgement
- Proven delivery of microservice-based architectures
- The ability to understand a customer's business architecture
- Confidence communicating and defending architectural decisions to senior stakeholders
- Strong hands-on full-stack development skills
- Experience improving engineering effectiveness through testing strategy, automation, and developer tooling
- Exposure to AI-assisted development approaches
- Confidence mentoring engineers and growing domain-driven and architectural thinking across a team
- A consulting mindset
- Experience in regulated or public sector environments
