Principal Silicon Validation Engineer
On-sitePune, Maharashtra, India
Job Summary
Define validation plans for MCU/MPU subsystems covering CPU, memory, peripherals, and interconnects. Develop test cases and coverage metrics based on architecture and design specs, then identify corner cases, stress scenarios, and system-level use cases. Execute post-silicon validation on silicon platforms, evaluation boards, and emulators while supporting pre-silicon emulation efforts. Debug issues across the hardware–software boundary using JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and trace tools (ETM, ITM) to root cause failures in CPU cores, memory subsystems, and peripherals. Build automation frameworks for regression flows and create scripts for data capture, logging, and analysis. Collaborate with RTL design, verification, and firmware teams to close coverage gaps and clarify specifications. Lead large, distributed engineering teams with strong executive presence.
