Job Summary
Design, develop, and test signal processing algorithms implemented as high-performance, high-reliability production code for cardiac ablation procedures. Collaborate with the hardware engineering team on electronics and firmware to support signal processing needs, while managing signal processing pipelines within Affera software products. Perform performance verification and validation of computational algorithms, and analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical data to inform design decisions. This role involves developing novel algorithms for diagnosis and therapy under the guidance of prominent medical device engineering experts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- PhD
- 3 years relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- Deep understanding of signal processing fundamentals including filter design (continuous and discrete) and statistics
- Experience with machine learning-based development, including dataset annotation, model development, system validation, and deployment in production software environments
- Understanding of, or interest in learning about, cardiac pacing, mapping, ablation, and body impedance measurements
- Hands on R&D experience, ideally working with custom/prototype hardware
- Proficiency with software development on Linux operating system
- Experience programming in Python and C++
- Ability to work in an agile development environment
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
- Interest in gaining a deep understanding of cardiac electrophysiology
