Job Summary
Lead the preparation, delivery, and commissioning of infrastructure projects from inception through completion, establishing clear objectives aligned to business needs. Build and lead high-performing teams while managing contracts, suppliers, and industry partners to monitor quality, cost, schedule, and performance. Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to prevent delays, overseeing change control processes and maintaining project plans, forecasts, and configuration management records. Manage project budgets, cashflow forecasts, and expenditure, providing accurate financial reporting and supporting project assurance, gateway reviews, and governance activities. Ensure compliance with client processes and operating procedures, delivering clear reporting to senior management and stakeholders. Requires hands-on construction background with at least 10 years of experience and proficiency in NEC4 contracts. Full-time availability at the Client Site with SC Clearance required.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on construction background with practical building services experience, rather than a purely consultancy-based career
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure and construction projects through all phases of delivery
- Strong commercial awareness, with a solid understanding of package costs, value management and the ability to challenge Compensation Events (CEs) where required
- Extensive experience managing project delivery under NEC4 contracts, including change management, contract administration and stakeholder engagement
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in project management and reporting tools
- Demonstrable experience working under NEC4 contracts
- Minimum 10 years' construction and commissioning experience
- At least 5 years in a project management or leadership role
- SC Clearance required to start
- Must be available to work at Client Site full time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing projects within complex live operational or highly regulated environments
- Strong understanding of governance and the importance of following due process within regulated facilities
- Experience working within collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams and contractor environments
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing project priorities and requirements
- Good understanding of project planning, Gantt charts and critical path analysis
- Experience using CEMAR or similar contract management systems
- Membership of a relevant professional body
- Civil Engineering background
- NEC Project Manager accreditation or formal NEC training
